Taipei, Taiwan (October 5, 2022) - Dental 3D printing innovators Ackuretta and Pac-Dent jointly offer an FDA 510k cleared workflows for a range of applications, including the manufacturing of temporary and permanent dental restorations with the groundbreaking Pac-Dent Rodin Sculpture resin and the Ackuretta 3D printing solution.
Introducing the Best-in-Class for Permanent Restorations: Pac-Dent Rodin Sculpture
The Pac-Dent Rodin Sculpture, combined with the validated Ackuretta printing solution, presents numerous advantages to practitioners and patients. As an FDA 510k cleared as a Class IIa medical device it fulfills all necessary regulatory requirements for both permanent and temporary dental restorations. Rodin™’s best-in-class radiopacity provides dentists with superior X-ray clarity, while its high concentration of true ceramic fillers (>50%) ensures maximal fracture resistance and minimizes repair visits. Patients, on the other hand, enjoy fewer dental visits and high comfort from the resin’s precision fits, low-temperature transfer, wear resistance, and striking natural-like aesthetics.
The resin is available in the shades: BL3, B1, A1, A2, A3, and C2 - aligned with the Vita shade guide system. With over 50% ceramic filler present in Rodin Sculptures' unique formulation, it produces the highest flexural strength for 3D printable crown and bridge dental resins to date. The ADA amended the insurance code for dental materials predominately loaded (<50%) with ceramic filler to qualify for ceramic crown insurance reimbursements.
